Pender’s Fabulous Journal of Random Stuff and Things!!!!

Last night I was working on finding a good picture album generator, someone pointed me to pixory. It sucked. It sucked so bad after 3 hours I cried. I cried not just normal tears, but blood and chocolate fudge. It was bad. I think it would be good as a standalone album viewer on your own puter, but for webpages it’s a nightmare. It requries an application server like Jboss or Tomcat, then it didn’t even work the way they said it would, even though I followed all of the instructions it listed on the site. I got mad and uninstalled it all.

After that I discovered a great program to use for making albums called JAlbum. They have some samples on their page. I demoed a few albums last night (after I had already made my normal crapstyle photo collection for the previous post) and I’m thinking that from now on I’ll be making a purdy album using this program for our posts. They also have a large selection of “skins” (styles) for download that I can apply to the album, so that it suits the colour scheme of the site.

Super long weekend! W00t!!

Wednesday, Hollywood had swapped a couple of shifts with someone (a sucker) she works with and was able to come early! She arrived in Moncton via bus at 5:10pm. They went to the sobes (grocery store) and bought the makin’s for corn and Pork chops, buying such items as: corn and/or pork chops. They then went home and made a meal of corns and pork chops, which were soooooooo good. Then they went for a motorcycle ride out to Salisbury via old roads to go to the Tim Hortons near the irving Big Stop on the highway. It was dark and they were freeeeeeezing cold, so they stayed there for a while trying to unfreeze some blood. Then they traveled back to town via the highway to make the trip go faster (it was dark they didn’t want to be out too long anyhow). Since they drank coffee at timmay’s, they were up half the night watching tv.

Thursday, they chatted half the day since Hollywood was at Pender’s place and Pender was at work and didn’t want to be there. :) Pender finally went home, then they went to sobes again and bought the makin’s for Fajitas, which were also soooooooo good. They went for a quick ride on the bike up to Magnetic Hill and back. When they got home they watched Legend of Drunken Master (Jackie Chan), good kung fu! If there’s one thing they learned from this movie it’s that drinking gives you power.

Friday, Pender again had to work so he again chatted it up with Hollywood at home who was feverishly sitting around, watching tv and chatting. That night they rented Matrix Revolutions and watched it. It wasn’t a bad flick, not as good as #1, but better than 2. Pender was sick and didn’t want to move around too much, so they didn’t do too much on Friday.

Saturday, they went zooing it up at the zoo! Pender had to try to touch every animal in the freaking place, rode a deer and was bitten by a crow after he was petting it on the head twice. The zoo tired them out, so the other half of Saturday was spent hanging around the apartment watching crappy tv and playing video games. After getting sick to death of being inside they went out and played dool at pooley’s (pool at dooley’s). Pender kicked Hollywood’s assssssssssssss with a score of 3 games to 3. Hollywood was having a ball and wanted to go out clubbing, but Pender was sick and didn’t feel like it, so like the big party pooper he is, he made them go back to the apartment to sit around, cry, and listen to (c)rap on the radio.

Sunday, they woke up lateish and went to starbucks for some dijon gourmet fancy coffee. They headed back to the apartment and picked up the backpack with the frisbees on it, then headed (the ultra super duper looong way) on the bike to Centennial Park for a stroll around, to feed the skeeters and to play frisbee. They got some nifty pictures of some primo acrobatics too!

Monday, Pender drove Hollywood to the bus station to catch her bus back to away from Pender. Only 4 more sleeps and they’ll be together again!

Friday, Pender went to Saint John after work and arrived at about 6:30, a little early for him, and gave Hollywood some kiwi’s!!!! They went to the liquor store to pick up some wine (which they forgot to drink) and beers, then went to Blockbuster to rent Man on Fire. It was really good movie but the man wasn’t really on fire, so we were disappointed, though we would still recommend it, I guess… They watched the movie and had a few beer over at Allison’s with Erin and Vicki. The movie was much longer than expected so they didn’t leave for the 3mile until 1am, getting there at about 1:20, early enough to chug some beers then go home to get a hangover the next morning at least.

Saturday, they went shopping and Hollywood bought Pender a new pair of shoes and Pender bought Hollywood a new purse… even trade almost, especially for Pender, though he handed $40 to Hollywood and THEN she paid for it. Good thing he’s not good at math. Pender loves his new shoes but now thinks he looks funny cause you can see his white socks when he’s on the bike so he has to re-do his ENTIRE sock wardrobe! Woe is he.. Mostly they just sat in front of the tv and watched tv and had a good time watching lots of tv cause tv is fun and they like tv and they had a tv night. They also ate grapes.

Sunday, they woke up early because Hollywood had a christening (that’s when they attach a wine bottle to a rope then swing the bottle and smash it on the baby to name the baby) to go to, in Shediac. They made it there just in time. Everyone else from Saint John that was supposed to go was a little late but would have been even later if it wasn’t for the fact that they drove 170 km/h the whole way. There was a whole lot of singing and stuff but they had mini sandwiches afterward so that made the whole thing worth it… yummm… and cake, which Hollywood didn’t eat because she’s a good girl and is sticking to her diet. Hollywood spent the night in Moncton rather then driving back with her friends. That night it rained so they couldn’t go for a bike ride or go to the zoo like they planned so….THEY PLAYED MINI GOLF!! That’s one of Hollywood’s favourite things in the world!! She actually won for once too. Hurrah!! Yeah! She kicked his butt!!! She rules!! HaHa!! Two holes in 1!!! (can you guess who wrote this part?)

Monday, Hollywood went back to Saint John on the bus at 11:50.

This weekend started early because Hollywood didn’t work on Thursday! Yay!

Thursday, Hollywood took the bus to Moncton really, really early in the morning. Pender picked her up at the bus station at about 8:45 and had to go back to work : (, but that gave Hollywood a chance to go shopping and spend lots of money!! and get a new hair cut, which Pender says is nice but Hollywood didn’t like until she fixed it. That evening when Pender finnnnaaaalllly finished work, they made Tasty Stir Fry together. After that they went to Blockbuster and rented Bowling for Columbine and Hildago.

Friday, Pender took a vacation day off so they got up late. They went for a nice bike ride through Hillsborough and went to Parlee Beach, but it was too cold to swim so they just lay around all sexy-like. Pender got bit about 20 times by the giant skeeters (aka, mosquitos). Then they did a little shopping, buying such items as deoderant! Normally that’s not something to get worked up about, but Hollywood got nice smelling raspberry deoderant and Pender got axe deoderant (it doesn’t really have that strong affect on women, he tried it out, $7.99 well spent cause it still smells good). That evening Hollywood finished watching Bowling for Columbine because she fell asleep during it the night before since she was OH so very tired, having worked the night before then taken the bus at the crack of dawn. After the second showing of Bowling for Columbine they watched Hildago (a story of a man and his horse, where Hollywood kept proclaiming “I love mah horse” throughout the movie, which made the movie good) together.

Saturday, they went to Mike’s restaurant for breakfast… yumm!! greasy breakfast. Pender was called back into work early in the afternoon, completely RUINING plans to lay in the sun and soak up some cancer, that sucked hard!! Hollywood sat around Pender’s place and worked on her tan without him. When Pender finally came home they hopped back on the bike and went to a lobster party with his old team from work. Losbter, lobster, lobster LOBSTER!!!! (that’s the lobster song by the way) Hollywood had 2 and Pender had 3!! but he could have eaten 12 if he tried harder.. slacker. They hung out with everybody and chatted up a storm and made jokes about how Pender likes free food saying mean things like “hide the food from Pender!” and “uh oh, pender’s got ahold of the cooler full of lobsters and he’s running down the street eating the lobsters!” which made him cry. :’( Hollywood, Pender, ryry and ryry’s semi-daughter Vanessa played frisbee too, but frisbee is always a given. When do they not play frisbee? It was all-around a good time. Especially for Pender, cause he got free lobster! When they got home they decided to pretend to watch Iron Monkey and Excalibur, but fell asleep instead.

Sunday, they woke up late again and got ready to go to a free Corn Boil held by the Motorcycle Safety course group (because Pender did the course earlier in the summer and was invited). They met up with Mug. He was there. Being Mug. Hollywood ate 2 corns and Pender ate 4 corns, but could have eaten 20 but he was being slack again. There was a door prize drawing and Hollywood was the first winner, she got to choose something from the table o’ junk, she took a navy blue t-shirt. After the Corn Boil they rode to a dorm where Mug’s friend lives and picked her up to go on a bike-ride with them. They went around the city looking for an ice cream stand shop thingy to buy ice creams but none seemed to be open, so they went to Dairy Queen. After that they all played frisbee next to the parking lot where Hollywood was bitten by 20 giant skeeters. They then went for a long ride through Notre-Dame, Saint Antoinne and Buctouche (and probably some other towns), then then came back via the highway. When they got home they watched Excalibur since they missed it last time, but Hollywood fell asleep again, so now whenever Pender wants to go play video games he just pops Excalibur into the dvd player, waits 5 seconds for Hollywood to sleep then skips merrily away to the computer room.

Monday, Pender drove Hollywood to the bus station to hop on a bus at 11:50, sad times..

Friday, Hollywood came up to Moncton on a bus where she was picked up at 8:45am, but Pender didn’t leave enough time to pick her up with a treat of a medium double-double at Tim Hortons, so he was severely punished with a smile. At noon, they met the boys from work at the Lonestar restaurant in the Blue Cross building, to introduce them all to the glory that IS…. Hollywood! In attendance was Garric (James Burry, whose real name I couldn’t actually remember at the time), Gimpenstein (Jon Bungay), Niall (Chris O’Neill) and Mug (Morgan Lee). Mug licked Gimp’s head with a mouthful of food at one point, but other than that it was a fun time. After the eating was done, Pender and Hollywood went for a ride to Parlee Beach in Shediac with Mug (who brought his own bike). They didn’t actually go to the beach because it was cloudy and somewhat rainy, so they all went to Tim Hortons so Mug could check out a milf friend of his from the interweb, she wasn’t there. Pender and Hollywood went home, then went to Sobeys to buy the baking materials needed to make homemade cookies for the Family Reunion the next day. They sat around playing on the computers for a couple of hours, chatting to each other while sitting no more than half a foot away.

Saturday, went to the family reunion in Sussex on the bike. Pender met a pile of the fan-damily and a good time was had by all, except the apples who were plucked from the trees and ruthlessly thrown at the trees to knock down other apples. The pot-luck food was wicked! The majority of the time there was spent playing frisbee and teaching the little kiddies how to play frisbee. After the family reunion they went back to Moncton and watched American Pie 2 and American Wedding on the puter for the rest of the evening while eating hotdogs.

Sunday, Pender was in a super cleaning mode (cause it was Sunday and he was actually home for cleaning day). After cleaning up a bunch of stuff they went into OAO where Pender works to show Hollywood his cubicle. They then walked around the Highfield Square mall and bought some makins’ for a stir fry for that evening (from leftovers stolen from the family reunion). The rest of the day was spent moving all the furniture around in Pender’s room, totally fixing up the “fank shuay” (yes, I have no freakin’ clue how that’s spelled). They ate the stir-fry which Hollywood made and they both actually liked it!!! At the end of the day, Pender drove Hollywood home on the bike, where they almost froze to death, but it was romantical and nice just the same.

Friday, they went to Swiss Chalet, Hollywood had a quarter chicken dinner, Pender had a quarter chicken dinner, extra bun and hot dipping sauce with an extra dipping sauce. Then they went to the theatre and saw “Hero”. Twas delightful!

Saturday, Hollywood worked so Pender watched olympics and played video games at Hollywood’s place. Then after work (hey, video games and watching t.v. IS work!!) they went for a ride on the bike and went glow-bowling at Riverboat, in KV. Pender beat Hollywood a thousand.. NO, A MILLION! to like NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

Sunday, Pender met Hollywood’s mom at Mike’s Restaurant where he was savagely beaten for being no good for her precious precious daughter. Then they went for a ride out to some beach someplace that wasn’t very good cause there were weeds everywhere and the beach was all rocks not sand and they assume there were lions and stuff in the water just waiting to eat them. After the beach they went across a free ferry, then ate ice cream at Kredl’s, then were heading back to the city when they saw a driving range, so they went there to get more blisters than there is skin on their hands. Then they rode back to the city and went to blockbuster and rented “Taking Lives” and “Kill Bill Vol 2″.
