Wow, I DO remember how to make a post. It’s been so long.
I just wanted to remind everyone that it’s Pender’s 28th birthday tomorrow.
Tonight we went shopping at Walmart for his birthday presents. He already knows what he’s getting but everyone else has to wait until tomorrow to find out.
I saw this article about putting a Computer into a Whiskey Bottle and immediately thought of J0dy, combining his two passions, whiskey and putarz.
Oh, and happy kissy gross day. Something awful’s Photoshop Phriday last week was really good, combining the two ultimate powers in the universe: death stars and love.
The router was screwing up all day, finally got it working and discovered that after only about 2 hours of being back up I’d accumulated almost 200 comments of spam on this site.. How friggin’ stupid is that? They spam 2-3 posts with hundreds of comments of the same “buy this gay fouton” or “buy this gay video game chair” over and over. It’s being done on posts almost a year and a half old (you know, the most popular ones that everyone reads every day!!!).
I’ll just turn off commenting on those posts and they’ll be thwarted for another week.
I think I’ll install some counter measures, like those “type the word in that you see in the graphic!” crap to annoy the real people who post.

OMG gmail is great. Remember that IRC post I made where I made an IRC chat channel? Well now it was all a waste, gmail has fully implemented their chat thingy and OMG it’s wicked cool. It’s as if I have google chat right in email form.

I found that at work I couldn’t use any external IM programs, so consiquently I’ve been using Gmail as an IM. Well yesterday I got it into my head to “fix” this little annoying scenario. I downloaded and installed ircd-hybrid, which is a server for IRC (Internet Relay Chat). I setup the server to use a port that commonly use at work (only for other, legitimate, reasons). I then setup my router to point all traffic on that port to the computer with the server. Now I can connect to that server, Hollywood can connect from home, and we can chat as much as we want. Yay for us! Everyone else can connect too, if they want. :)
If you want to join the network, do the following:
Download mIRC
Put in your usernames and whatever, click ok.
In the status window type:
/server penderwood.servehttp.com:1521
Then type:
/join #blah (which is the channel we’re in, not for any particular reason)
Start chattin’!!
