Flights to-from Newfoundland Just Went Up
Canjet Airlines is pulling out of the scheduled airline business next week to focus on its charter business.
Apparently Westjet prices have already gone up. With less airlines means more competition, and with competition to get on a plane means that you have to book that much further in advance to get a decent price. Great. I’m surprised this didn’t happen after the busy xmas season, but I ain’t a CEO of a failing airline either, so what do I know?

Fuck FUCK! This is shitty! Canjet was the best airline available to us for flying to Newfoundland, not to mention the direct daily flight from Moncton to St. John’s.
This is bad news. Piss me off…

[…] I just read on Pender’s blog that Canjet will be pulling out of the scheduled airline business effective Sept 10. This is horrible news from my perspective. Canjet had daily flights direct from Moncton to St. John’s, had good service, had a good rewards program, were always cheap… almost too good to be true. […]

We still got direct flights from halifax via other companies! Hurray! Oh wait, you’re still in frenchieville.
You thinking about moving to halifax yet? Let me know if you’re thinking about keane, let jon bungay know if you’re thinking about cgi. You’re worth big bux to us, cause companies are suckers! (just kidding, they’re sleevings)

Oops, just noticed I was being dumb:
“With less airlines means more competition, and with competition to get on a plane means that you have to book that much further in advance to get a decent price.”
I meant more competition for passengers, competing for the same seats. Obviously with 1 less airline there would be less competition, from a business perspective, so they’ll be able to raise their prices.

All the airlines are raising their rates because the cost of fuel and wages and landing fees are all up. Yesterday was last flight out of St. John’s to Heathrow. Now we have to fly to MTL or Toronto to get to Europe.

We have those two $100 vouchers for being inconvenienced in May that we were going to use eventually. Now what? I think they need to send us more worthless vouchers for being inconvenienced again now.

Ne-worry-pas dear brudder. All the airlines have recently jacked up their prices. Not that it matters…..cuz you’re like a ZILLIONAIRE! (heh)
Mudder says to use those vouchers to come to the cabin this weekend. Or you can come to my place and see the PUP-LETTE!! Gracey still hasn’t met her uncle and Auntie PEOPLE!!!!

Hollywood, try taking the vouchers in and getting the cash. They want the public to still like them because they are going to be a charter service only.

That’s a good idear, we should try that.
I actually would use the vouchers to come this weekend except I’m on call this weekend. I can’t go anywhere.

We called CanJet, our goodwill vouchers are null and void. Which means they mean us ill-will, so we’re planning to burn their planes down on the weekend. We’ll get them before they get us.
